  • Hiking trails

    Sentier des orphelins

    The 6-km self-guided trail is the backbone of the Orphelins trail network. It includes ten information panels on nature subjects for fauna and flora observation. Both ends of the Orphelins Trail are linked to the Aerobic Corridor so as to provide a round trip for users.

  • Water activities - private wharf

    Each Villa has its own private wharf with a picnic table and Adirondacks chairs. Near the Villas on the shore line, there is a municipal park with children's playground and beach volleyball.

  • Hybrid and mountain bicycling

    Bring your mountain bike or hybrid - bike path at the foot of the Villas.

    From Morin-Heights to Saint-Remi d’Amherst, the Aerobic Corridor is open to cyclists looking for an outing right in the heart of nature. The Corridor offers a 58-km circuit which runs through wild landscapes dotted with lakes and green valleys, and winds up and down the fabulous Rivière Rouge. Come and take an unusual ride down nature’s highway!

    For road biker enthusiasts, many circuits by mountains and valleys are accessible from the Villas.

  • Fishing

    For fishing license holders, nothing better than Lake St-Francois Xavier .

    Our lake has been stocked with rainbow trout for the last 10 years .

    If you want to bring a boat, there are constraints regarding the washing of boats in order to reduce the risk of importation of invasive plants. More details will be provided on request.

  • Stand up paddle boarding (SUP) and yoga on stand up paddle board

    Echo Aloha company offers from Montfort community center or directly at the Villas, introductory courses to paddle board (SUP) and yoga & fitness on the board. You will find all necessary information on their website www.echoaloha.com

    Snowshoeing - La Monfortaine

    Bring your snowshoes : Five beautifull loops on crown land very well thought. Few short but steep climbs. The trails are very well marked. The decor, kept wild, offers beautiful scenery.

  • Cross-country skiing

    Groomed cross-country ski trails at the foot of the Villas :

    The cross-country ski enthusiasts will enjoy one of the best cross-country ski networks maintained in the Laurentides, with 165 kilometres of inter-connected trails accessible through our Corridor Aérobique, of which 60 km are mechanically groomed.

    The club maintains a network of 50 km of trails. All trails have hilly sections and other more flat. They normally require a minimum of skill and experience.

    Mont St-Sauveur aquatic park

    From Mont Saint-Sauveur’s highest peaks to the foot of the forest, get ready to have a blast with the grooviest rides in town! Get rocked by the Viking, the one and only alpine coaster in Quebec, as you go down the path as fast as 35 km/h. then glide down the hill aboard the Dragon zip-line, swirl in the Red Baron’s cockpit, jump up and down the Giant Tree, twirl in the Honeybee and glide on board our very new Sonic!

    The ideal Park for kids from 2 to 8 years old with their parents and even grandparents is of course "Au Pays des Merveilles" situated in the heart of The Laurentians. This unique Theme Park revolves around the magic and beauty of our Fairy Tale books. In the enchanted forest hides our princesses and others live characters in their flamboyant dresses and beautiful sceneries. The entire family will enjoy meeting Alice in Wonderland with her friend Bunny Bunny, Snow White, Cinderella, the Queen of Heart's and the Little Red Ring Hood with Loulou the wolf. Twelve (12) acres of ground are available for you to play, walk, run, discover where your Fairy Characters live.   • Biking on the linear park <Le p'tit train du nord>

    You can tour along “Le P’tit Train du Nord” linear park, a 230-km cycle path built over an old railway between Saint-Jérôme and Mont-Laurier in the early 20th century. It’s the longest park of its kind in Canada! It is 230 kilometers of trail running beside the magnificent Rivière du Nord and through other natural landscapes made up of forestlands, wetlands and lakes. The old railway line wanders through picturesque villages with their old-fashioned station buildings, offering a unique combination of outdoor activities and cultural interest.

    The best place to access the linear park from the Villas is the Piedmont station about twenty minutes away.

  • Public skating

    Wentworth-Nord : Located in Laurel, next to the Town Hall of Wentworth-North, is the covered ice rink. You can do hockey or free skating there. If conditions permit, there is also an ice ring. Only 10 minutes from the Villas. There is a heated chalet to warm up. Also open in the evening. www.wentworth-nord.ca/conditions-des-sentiers/

    Morin Heights : One large multi-use rink and a smaller rink mainly used for hockey and free skating are available for your pleasure. The chalet is open from December to March weekdays from 16:00 to 22:00 and weekends and holidays from 10:00 to 22:00. A schedule is available at the chalet. To consult the daily ice schedule call 450 226-3232, ext. 122.

    Saint-Sauveur : Indulge in John H. Molson’s Park wintertime activities. Our leisure facilities include skating and snowshoe trails (behind chalet Pauline Vanier) and three skating rinks for hockey players (for different age groups). A snow slide in John-H.-Molson Park is also available near the biggest skating rink. Come and enjoy ! If weather permits : everyday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Please contact our information line « Info-patinoires » before leaving home at 450 227-2669 #400 for further information on opening hours.

    For shopping enthusiasts, the village of Saint-Sauveur, 15 minutes from the Villas offers a variety of stores to suit all tastes.

    Principale Street is lined with a variety of boutiques. It is here that you will find stores that sell clothing, jewellery, gifts and souvenirs, as well as art galleries featuring the works of our best local artists.

    The town is adorned with several tiny streets and avenues that are worth being explored. It is here that you will find tiny boutiques and lots of great gifts. How about a stop for a coffee or ice cream with the kids? Then it’s across Jean-Adam Road, to visit Factoreries, where more than 20 local artisans sell their products at very affordable prices.
